"Maryam was excellent to work with on our 1910 Edwardian Bernal Heights interior design project. My husband and I bought a house in the city and for the first time, and were tasked with outfitting many rooms in the house with a new style and furniture.
Our goal was to work collaboratively with a designer as we had small beginnings of ideas for our space, based on our travels and needs for space usage with 2 large dogs. We needed help bringing our ideas to fruition and helping to work with Edwardian aspects of the house and Maryam certainly fulfilled our dreams.
Maryam began by spending a long time discussing our vision, style, and approach. She helped us solidify the vision for each room, choosing paint colors, exploring ideas and suggesting what would work and always listening to our ideas. She truly listened and guided us, but left most of the decisions up to us, which we appreciated. She was very conscious of budget. She is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of interior design, from the details of selecting paint for walls, trim, ceiling, and fabrics for re-upholstering, how to organize furniture and lighting in a space. We appreciated that she always suggested multiple options and was willing to modify based on our feedback.
